App-specific privacy policies
Information you provide
MapleTrail Software may receive information you choose to provide directly, such as when you contact support or send feedback by email.
Moments Away privacy information
Moments Away is designed for saving travel places, visits, notes, photos, videos, and related collection details. Information you create in the app is used to provide the travel-record experience.
Saved places, visits, attached media, and related app content are stored privately for your use. If you use optional iCloud sync, that content syncs through your personal private iCloud/CloudKit account across your Apple devices.
Permissions and device access
Moments Away requests access only when you choose to use a feature that depends on it.
Moments Away uses location and map-related access for place search, nearby places, saved place context, and map display. Photo and video access is used only when you attach media to a saved place or visit.
Analytics
Moments Away uses Firebase Analytics for product-interaction analytics by default. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings. Analytics are limited to product interaction information, such as opened screens and feature or purchase state. They do not include place names, search text, notes, photos, videos, precise locations, people, CloudKit IDs, or record IDs.
Website data
The MapleTrail Software website does not use a public account system. Basic technical information may be collected by hosting providers or standard server logs to operate, secure, and improve the site.
Third-party services
Moments Away may rely on Apple services for maps, location, photo and video selection, backups, exports, and optional iCloud sync. When analytics are enabled, product-interaction events are processed by Firebase Analytics.
Sharing
MapleTrail Software does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only when needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, or protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and MapleTrail Software.
Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, operate the app or website, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Your choices
You can contact MapleTrail Software to ask privacy-related questions or request help with your information.
You can also manage app permissions through your device settings and disable analytics at any time in Moments Away Settings.
